Hundreds of faithful Christians have joined us at Shiloh. You can be part of one of the largest archaeological excavations in Israel and experience the Holy Land like never before.

Costs

Pre-Dig Tour: $TBA (check in Sat 5/8 PM, tour Sun 5/9 AM to Sun 5/16 AM check out [Diggers remain at hotel])

One Week: $TBA (any one-week interval, Sun PM check in to Sat AM check out)

Two Weeks: $TBA (any two-week interval, Sun PM check in to second Sat AM check out)

Three Weeks: $TBA (any three-week interval, Sun PM check in to third Sat AM check out)

Four Weeks: $TBA (any four-week interval, Sun PM check in to fourth Sat AM check out)

Five Weeks: $TBA (Sun 5/16 PM check in to Sat 6/19 AM check out)

These rates include:
– Double or Triple occupancy (SINGLE ROOMS ARE LIMITED AND AVAILABLE ONLY BY REQUEST. Cost = $TBA extra per night)
– 3 meals a day (Lunch is only included on Dig days, and not on weekends during the Dig season. However, lunch is included on the pre-Dig Tour)
– Transport by bus to and from the Dig
– Evening education classes

These Rates DO NOT include:

PARTICIPANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE OR THEIR OWN TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS, INCLUDING FLIGHTS AND TRANSPORT TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT
ABR does not arrange group flights. In order to minimize costs, travelers make their own flight arrangements in order to find the best deals possible. Students may be able to find discounts at www.studentuniverse.com

Deposit:

A $500 per person deposit is due on a first come, first serve basis. We highly recommend paying your deposit ASAP after you have completed your online registration to reserve your space. Full payment is due March 31, 2007.

Saturday May 8: Pre-Dig Tour participants check in at the Hotel

Sunday May 9 to Saturday May 15: Pre-Dig Tour

Sunday May 16: Pre-Dig Tourists not joining Shiloh Dig check out AM.

Sunday May 16: Supervisors organize work areas at Shiloh. Volunteers are welcome to help. Check in PM for volunteers arriving at the Hotel on Sunday May 16. Arrangements may be made for earlier check in at additional cost, but there is no guarantee of room availability. Check with ABR to confirm availability and pricing for early check in. Do not contact the hotel directly to make reservations. Dig Orientation is at 5:30 PM on the Mezzanine level. Follow the crowd.

Monday May 17 to Friday May 21: Dig at Shiloh. Week One.

Saturday May 22: Diggers check out AM from the Hotel. FREE DAY.

Sunday May 23: Optional Weekend Touring. Cost: $70-$85 for bus, driver tip, lunch, and entry fees. (Diggers pay for this optional tour in Israel in cash, not in advance). Destinations: TBA

Monday May 24– Friday May 28: Dig at Shiloh. Week Two.

Saturday May 29: Diggers check out AM from the Hotel. FREE DAY.

Monday May 31– Friday June 4: Dig at Shiloh. Week Three.

Friday June 11: NO DIGGING. FREE DAY. SHAVUOT ends at nightfall

Saturday June 12: Diggers check out AM from the Hotel. FREE DAY.

Sunday June 13: Optional Weekend Touring. Cost: $70-$85 for bus, driver tip, lunch, and entry fees. (Diggers pay for this optional tour in Israel in cash, not in advance). Destinations: TBA

Monday June 14 – Friday June 18: Conservation and Excavation at Shiloh. Week Five.

Saturday June 19: Diggers check out AM from the Hotel.

Individual Transportation from Ben Gurion Airport to Jerusalem

The Sheroot or Nesher communal van service travelers have used in the past has gone out of business.

Trains, buses and light-rail do not run on Shabbat (Friday evening to Saturday evening. We are recommending coordinating with other volunteers on the Shiloh Facebook page to save on taxi costs.
